Women’s Entrepreneurship Day: Celebrating Bold Women in Business Across BC

Every November 19th, we take a moment to recognize and celebrate women entrepreneurs who are shaping our communities and making a big impact in British Columbia. Women’s Entrepreneurship Day is about more than just acknowledging accomplishments—it’s about supporting the incredible women who take risks, solve problems, and drive innovation every day.

Women Entrepreneurs in BC: Making Waves

Women-led businesses are a growing force in BC’s economy, representing nearly 40% of small businesses. From local shops to tech startups, women entrepreneurs are creating jobs, championing sustainability, and building stronger communities.

It’s not always smooth sailing. Women are often faced with obstacles like securing funding, entering male-dominated industries, or balancing family life while growing their businesses. Even so, they continue to push forward with determination, opening doors for the next generation.
